Dragi oaspeti,
Aradul, prin amplasarea sa geografica
favorabila, la intersectia unor importante cai de comunicatie
de la Vest la Est si de la Nord la Sud, care se incruciseaza
aici, se constituie intr-un principal punct de referinta atat
pentru cetatenii romani cat, mai ales, pentru toti cei ce
intra in tara din Uniunea Europeana si nu numai.
In acest context, prezentul ghid ofera potentialilor nostri
vizitatori din tara si din strainatate, in mod sintetic,
informatiile necesare despre Arad, oras milenar si totodata
modern, cu farmecul si caracterul sau specific dat de
arhitectura sa, dar si de simbioza dintre Arad si Mures, cadru
natural fericit valorificat in avantajul orasului, mensionand
ca repere importante Cetatea, faleza si Strandul si, mai nou,
rezervatia naturala “Lunca Muresului Inferior“ in curs de
amenajare, in aval de Arad, cu extindere pana in Ungaria.
La bogatul patrimoniu natural, istoric, cultural si
arhitectural, s-a adaugat in ultimii ani si modernizarea,
dezvoltarea si diversificarea bazei turistice si de agrement,
bine sustinute de imbunatatirile aduse infrastructurii din
comunicatii, precum si retelei comerciale si a prestarilor de
servicii.
Si nu in ultimul rand, Aradul poate constitui punctul de plecare pentru vizitarea unor obiective de mare interes din imprejurimi, prin valorificarea unor circuite turistice care sa cuprinda cetatile, manastirile, siturile istorice, bisericile zidite si de lemn, monumente istorice, numeroasele castele, conace si muzee de pe vaile Muresului si Crisului Alb, degustari de vinuri in Podgoria Aradului sau sejururi in statiunile Moneasa si Lipova.
Toate cele mentionate se constituie in tot atatea motive de a va adresa invitatia de a fi oaspetii Aradului si imprejurimile sale, de a va bucura din plin de farmecul locului si a ospitalitatii oamenilor de pe aceste meleaguri.

Liebe Gäste,
Die Stadt Arad
ist durch ihre vorteilhafte geographische Lage, an der
Kreuzung einiger bedeutenden Verkehrswege von Westen nach
Osten und von Norden nach Süden, ein bedeutender
Referenzpunkt, sowohl für die rumänischen Bürger, als auch,
besonders für all
diejenigen die in unserem Land aus der
Europäischen Union kommen, und nicht nur für diese.
In diesem Zusammenhang bietet der
vorliegende Stadtführer für unsere inländischen und
ausländischen Besucher, in einer zusammenfassenden Weise, die
nötigen Informationen über Arad dar, eine tausendjährige Stadt
und gleichzeitig eine moderne Stadt, mit ihrem Zauber und
spezifischen Charakter, dank ihrer Architektur, aber auch der
Symbiose zwischen Arad und und Mures, ein natürliches Milieu -
ein Vorteil der Stadt. Die wichtigsten Merkmale der Stadt sind
die Burg, das Ufer und der Strand und neuestens das
Naturschutzgebiet "Lunca Muresului inferior", dessen Anlegung,
flußabwärts von Arad erfolgt die Ausbauung bis nach Ungarn.
Zu diesem reichen natürlichen,
historischen, kulturellen und baukünstlerischen
Patrinionium, kommen noch in den letzten Jahren, die
Modernsierung, Entwicklung und Vielfältigkeit der
touristischen und Freizeitbasis hinzu, welche gut erhalten
blieben, durch die Verbesserungen in der Infrastruktur der
Verkehrsmittel, des Handelsnetzes und der Dienstleistungen.
Und nicht in letzter Reihe, kann die Stadt Arad ein Ausgangspunkt sein für touristischen Rundfahrten zu den interessanten in der Umgebung befindlichen Burgen, Klöstern, geschichtlichen Ausgrabungen, Kirchen welche aus Holz gebaut sind, zu den geschichtliche Denkmälern, zahlreichen Schlösser, Bojarenlandhäuser und Museen in den Tälern des Mures und des Weißen Kreisches, zum verkosten der Weine, aus den Arader Weinbergen oder Aufenthalte in den Kurorten Moneasa und Lipova.
All die oben aufgezählten - und viele mehr Gründe, erlauben uns, Sie als Gäste nach Arad und in ihrer Umgebung einzuladen, um sich des Reizes dieser Gegend und der Gastfreundschaft der Menschen erfreuen zu können.

Dear guests,
Arad is a main
point of reference for both the Romanian citizens and the
foreigners coming in from the European Union and not only, as
it is situated at the crossroads of important communication
ways from West to East and from North to South.
In this context
the present quidebook offers, in a concise form the necessary
information about Arad, a town which is both ancient and
modern, having individuality and a charm all its own due to
its specific architecture and the unique symbiosis between the
town and the Mures river. The happy combination of town and
natural environment boasts important landmarks like the
Fortress, the Enbankment and the new strand on the river and
the latest addition of a nature reserve "The Lower Mures Flood
Plain" extending downriver as far as Hungary.
The rich natural,
historical, cultural, and architectural heritage has been
lately enhanced by the development of modern touristic and
entertainment facilities well supported by adequate
infrastructure of communication, commerce and services.
Last but not least
Arad may be the starting point for trips all around the region
rich in mediaeval fortresses and castles, monasteries various
historical sites, churches, museums on the Mures and the White
Cris Valleys - trips to the famous vineyards of the region and
the resorts of Moneasa and Lipova.
